ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Eve Carson has taken on the challenge to expose public corruption and the collateral damage of malfeasance. After the devastating loss of her sister-in-law, Joan Webster, Eve became increasingly skeptical of the story promoted by the authorities. The baffling case remains unsolved more than 40 years later. She began researching the case in 2006. After an extensive examination of source documents, the state's promoted allegations fell apart; it was a contrived story.

The monumental task to unravel the truth was met with resistance and few support systems for victims. It was a learn as you go process that was often frustrating. By reliving the tragedy of Joan's loss, Eve gained valuable insight into the legal and law enforcement systems that will benefit others facing such daunting circumstances. VOIS is a means to provide public awareness, establish a template, and support resources.

Eve published Simple, Safe & Secret: the 1981 Murder of Joan L. Webster to detail her findings and provide a roadmap to expose misconduct. Eve has given numerous interviews that appear on the Media page. Articles about the Joan Webster murder have appeared in Crime Magazine, The Journal of Forensic Research, The Precious Hearts Foundation Magazine, The Journal of Forensic and Crime Investigation, Medium, and Unsolved Magazine. In addition, Eve presented aspects of Joan’s case to the International Forensic Research Conference twice, and the Stu Taylor radio program. She appeared on The Whistleblower television series with Mychal Wilson, and Close Up TV and Radio with hosts Jim Masters and Doug LLewelyn.
